Susan Skiles is an enthusiastic grandmother of eight but known as Nana to many. Her love for God, family, children, friends and early morning bike rides provide the inspirations for her writings.

Children and parents alike will learn about kindness, forgiveness, honesty, love, finding answers to difficult questions, and even exercising your heart to love with Susan’s writings. “Teaching children to be sensitive and kind to others is what I hope to teach through my books. In my experience, children have received this best when taught in a fun and active way. Whether we are skating, riding bikes, hiking, swimming, baking cookies or anything fun, we have an opportunity to learn. They will remember what they learned when they can relate to a happy event”. Many of her books reflect fun experiences with Nana.

Susan has been writing for many years. Recently she has been strongly encouraged to have her stories published.

Susan grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She enjoys collecting Oriole baseball memorabilia, especially anything relating to Brooks Robinson (the greatest third baseman of all time). She currently resides in Hampstead, Maryland.
